Sucharita Precision Gears Private Limited, established in 1988 is a SME unit manufacturing essentially textile machinery components amongst others from its inception.
Over the past 16 years the company has created a niche for itself in the manufacture of high quality gears. A large portion of our components are supplied to M/s Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd. (LMW) and VANDEWIELE SAVIO world renowned manufacturers of Textile machinery. Our list of components number no fewer than 400 different components all produced in machines recognized the world over for their precision and high productivity.
Our machines which number around 30 in total are housed in a shop floor of 10,000 sq.ft. The strength of this company lies in its trained workforce consisting of 26 skilled operators involved in manning the various turning and gear shop machinery. We have 3 technically proficient engineers looking after the production planning, procurement of raw material and liaising with the customers. A further 6 technicians supervise the shifts as well as attending to periodic inspection. At the end of the production chain are 6 qualified inspectors who are engaged in Final Inspection and certifying the quality of the components.
The range of our product mix include small parts such as critical gears of 20 mm which involve several close tolerance operations to large shafts of typically 600mm OD, all processed in our machines. A number of these gears are 'shaved' to achieve 7th quality tolerance.
We manufacture close to 300 different CI and steel components which undergo operations such as turning, milling, drilling, grinding, hardening etc. As a supplier to several ISO: 9001 & 2008 companies following strict stipulated processes and quality procedures are essential and are followed diligently right from raw material procuring stage.
Raw materials are visually checked for defects such as cracks, insufficient or excessive hardness etc. Along with a process chart components free from defects are sent for machining and the manufacturing process starts and finishes with turning, milling, drilling, gear cutting, broaching and grinding operations. Quality Control systems are strictly adhered to and where necessary upgraded periodically on the advice of the customers in order to improve quality and efficiency further. This includes checking each individual components finished dimensions at every stage of the operation whilst the job is running on the shop floor so as to nip any defect or deviation at the bud. On completion of the process items dimensions are checked in final inspection to ensure that they meet exact standards as per the drawing and where required a self-inspection certificate is issued for each completed job.
